EPA Names 11 New Superfund Sites
09.23.09 3:59 AMThe EPA reports that it has added eleven (11) new hazardous waste sites to its Superfund list. In accordance with CERCLA, these sites have been determined to pose risks to human health and the environment.
At this point, there are a total of one thousand three hundred and thirty seven (1,337) Superfund sites in the country, including the new additions. According to the EPA's press release, contaminants present range from Antimony to Zinc. Click here to see the full list of these sites.
