EPA Names Georgia District Attorney as Region IV Administrator
09.02.10 9:16 AMAdministrator Jackson named Gwendolyn Keyes Fleming the Administrator for Region IV EPA. She was named on September 1, 2010 and immediately resigned her job as District Attorney for Dekalb County which is headquartered in Decatur, Georgia. EPA's press release highlights her impressive qualifications. In addition, her bio on the Dekalb County DA's website is impressive. While having an attorney at the helm of Region IV is not new, this will be the first person with a background in criminal prosecution. She has been unavailable for comment at this point, but it will be interesting to see if she brings the prosecutor mentality to Region IV. She will also be the first African American Administrator of Region IV.
