Tomorrow Bill and I will be heading to Salt Lake City, Utah, for the ABA SEER’s 39th Annual Conference on Environmental Law (Not your Father’s Keystone). I’ve attended one of these conferences before, during the fall of 2009 in Baltimore, Maryland. It was tremendous being surrounded by leaders in the field, who not only know everything about environmental law, but who are also willing to share their knowledge with those around them. Needless to say, I left Baltimore knowing a whole lot more than I knew going in. If this is anything like the last conference, I am geared up for a huge surge in knowledge, networking, and all around good folks.
Among the sessions I plan on attending are:
1) Carbon Accounting and EPA’s Mandatory GHG Reporting Rule
2) A Years Full Measure: Enforcement in the Obama Administration
3) Superfund after Burlington Northern: How has CERCLA Practice Changed?
4) Why Build Green and How to Do It Properly (I’m doubly excited about this session because Bill is the moderator, and it is being put on by my Smart Growth and Green Building Committee!)
I hope I get to ski. Never done it before, but better late than never!
I’m looking forward to the conference, and I promise to report back with news, trends, and other issues in environmental law.
Christina
Update: I skied!
Many thanks to Ron Kruhlak from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for the picture...
